This causes a reduction of heat transfer which increases tank bottom temperatures and decrease water temperatures. When this occurs, the results are decreased water heater efficiency and decreased tank life. The EverKleen" system helps to dislodge this sediment by channeling water through a specially developed inlet tube. This tube creates a high velocity spiraling water stream which strikes the bottom of the water heater tank with sediment "busting" force. The spiraling effect also creates better mixing throughout the water heater tank which reduces the effects of stacking. Stacking occurs when frequent small draws of water create different temperatures throughout the tank resulting in increased peak temperatures at the top of the tank.
